Building A Mob Through Message Boards

Basically just start a new thread or join an existing one on a Mob Wars topic to ask people to join your mob.

There are a couple of tricks to this to get the best results, however. Almost everyone on these message boards will put up a post like 'Add Me', or 'Add Me Please'. The art of getting people to read and respond to your posts on a message board is a form of advertising. Be creative, be playful. Here is what I posted online and got great results:

Join the family!
Join my family in Mob Wars. We are a small mob looking to assert ourselves in a BIG way. Benefits include:
-Lower level, but well funded and well armed
-Low pressure organization (if you screw up, you die)
-Room for advancement (until you get too powerful and I have to off you)
-Fringe benefits (free beatdowns upon request)
-Great work environment (back alleys)

To join, add me to your friends, then I will add you to my mob. (Adding as a limited profile is fine)

It also helps, when recruiting, to temporarily replace your standard profile picture with the Mob Wars logo. The people who you are trying to recruit will immediately know what you want when they see the picture. Also be sure to put 'Mob Wars' in the title of any message or friend request you send.

One last note, be careful who you add, particularly you ladies. Don't put it past people to take advantage of Mob Wars for less than scrupulous motives. There are ways to limit a friends profile on Facebook. I'm not going to detail it here because Facebook changes their layout every 15 minutes (or so it seems), but be aware it is possible. A Mob member is not worth the headache. If you are worried about who reponds to your profile, don't post on the message boards. Simply scan the boards and send messages to those who seem appropriate.
