The methods mentioned in the previous section are great to fill your account full of cash right now, but what happens when you are offline? That's right, nothing.
If you truly want to build a pile of cash, the best way is through property. I'm only level 28, yet I make $30 million every 54 minutes (roughly $780 million a day) from my property. Make money 24/7, and you don't have to be online. The drawbacks are it's slow, and you become a target, but it is well worth it in the long run.
I invest every spare penny I have into property, and log on daily to either buy more or bank my income. But there are a few VERY important strategies that speed up the process, and insure you are getting the most for your dollar.
1) Buy in Volume
Probably the most important thing you can do is buy properties in volume. Its very hard to do when you first start out, but after a few levels it gets easier. With each property purchased, the price goes up, so if you buy in lots of 10, you get those 10 at the cheaper price. This should always be done with property improvements, but only buy 10 of empty properties. You will save a mountain of money doing this.
2) Only Have 10 Empty Properties Of Each Type.
Only have 10 Empty Lots, City Blocks, or Dowtown Squares at any time. Buy more as you upgrade them to other properties, but there is no reason to have more than 10 on hand. The prices goes up dramatically just like improved properties, but the income on these is so small that it doesn't make financial sense to have 50 of them.
3) Not All Properties Are Created Equal
Just because a property is listed as higher value doesn't mean you should buy it first. Some properties have a higher cost/profit ratio, and you should buy those up first until their price goes up, then buy the next best property. Don't be afraid to pull out a calculator and add up figures on the fly. Buy the best values, just like you would in the real world.
4) Take A Break
A really good tactic once you get to levels 18-20 is to take a break from leveling. Still log on regularly, but don't fight or do jobs. Just put your money into property constantly! Do this for 2-3 weeks (I did it for a month), and your daily income will skyrocket.
You want to stop leveling so that you can become richer than you are supposed to be for your level. It throws the game out of balance, in your favor. This means you can have as big a mob as you want, equip them with anything you want, put hits on anyone you want at your level, and basically take your money worries away for the rest of the game. It's best to stop in the levels I mentioned because at that point you should be able to buy all the properties currently available, but really you can do it any level after as well. But remember, don't just take the time off, use the time to buy property constantly and build up your equity.
